Privacy Policy
How Read Your Ebook handles information.
Last updated: August 2, 2026. This policy explains how Read Your Ebook handles information for accounts, ebook digest generation, billing, support, analytics, and app reliability.
Summary
Read Your Ebook collects and processes the information needed to provide accounts, digest generation, billing, support, reliability, and security. We do not sell personal information.
Information We May Collect
- Account information such as email address, user ID, display name, and authentication status.
- Uploaded EPUB content needed to generate summaries.
- Generated summaries, digest settings, progress, and library records.
- Subscription status, plan, credits, token balance, billing identifiers, invoice references, and purchase history.
- Feedback messages and optional contact information.
- Usage, diagnostics, app version, and technical telemetry used to improve reliability.
Payments
Payment card details are handled by Stripe or the applicable app-store payment provider. Read Your Ebook does not store raw card numbers. We store billing identifiers and payment-event records needed to operate subscriptions, credits, top-ups, invoices, fraud prevention, and support.
How Information Is Used
- To authenticate users and restore sessions in the app.
- To process uploaded ebooks and generate digests.
- To save and display the user's digest library.
- To manage subscriptions, credits, top-ups, and invoices.
- To provide support and respond to feedback.
- To detect abuse, enforce limits, prevent duplicate grants, and keep the service reliable.
Service Providers
Read Your Ebook uses Supabase for authentication, database, app data, and backend processing. Stripe is used for payment processing and billing where Stripe checkout is available. AI/model providers process book text to generate summaries. Analytics, diagnostics, and error monitoring providers receive technical data when those services are enabled.
Retention And Deletion
Account and library data are kept while the account is active. Saved summaries remain available until the user deletes them or requests account deletion. Billing records are retained as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal compliance. Temporary processing data is minimized and removed when it is no longer needed to provide the service.
Users can request account deletion through the account deletion page or by emailing contact@readyourebook.com.
Security
The app uses HTTPS/TLS, secure session storage where supported, backend service-role separation, authentication controls, and database policies. No system is perfectly secure, but we use reasonable safeguards to protect information.
Children
Read Your Ebook is not intended for children under 13 or the minimum age required in the user's country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
