How Read Your Ebook handles information.

Summary

Read Your Ebook collects and processes the information needed to provide accounts, digest generation, billing, support, reliability, and security. We do not sell personal information.

Information We May Collect

• Account information such as email address, user ID, display name, and authentication status.
• Uploaded EPUB content needed to generate summaries.
• Generated summaries, digest settings, progress, and library records.
• Subscription status, plan, credits, token balance, billing identifiers, invoice references, and purchase history.
• Feedback messages and optional contact information.
• Optional Knowledge Map experiment responses, results, campaign attribution, and email address when a visitor chooses to save a map.
• Usage, diagnostics, app version, and technical telemetry used to improve reliability.

Payments

Payment card details are handled by Stripe or the applicable app-store payment provider. Read Your Ebook does not store raw card numbers. We store billing identifiers and payment-event records needed to operate subscriptions, credits, top-ups, invoices, fraud prevention, and support.

How Information Is Used

• To authenticate users and restore sessions in the app.
• To process uploaded ebooks and generate digests.
• To save and display the user's digest library.
• To manage subscriptions, credits, top-ups, and invoices.
• To provide support and respond to feedback.
• To save voluntary Knowledge Map results, provide a learning recap and return link, send the requested recap when email delivery is available, and evaluate interest in that product concept.
• To detect abuse, enforce limits, prevent duplicate grants, and keep the service reliable.

Service Providers

Read Your Ebook uses Supabase for authentication, database, app data, and backend processing. Stripe is used for payment processing and billing where Stripe checkout is available. AI/model providers process book text to generate summaries. Analytics, diagnostics, and error monitoring providers receive technical data when those services are enabled.

Website Analytics

The website uses Google Analytics to measure page visits, traffic sources and campaigns, and clicks from this website to Google Play. Campaign parameters such as source, medium, and campaign may be recorded.

Saved Learning Maps

The Knowledge Map saves reading activity and campaign information in your browser so you can resume learning. If you choose to save with your email, we store your assessment and reading snapshot. When email sending is configured, the mail provider processes your address and recap to send that requested message. This does not create an account or subscribe you to a newsletter.

A private return link includes a signed learning snapshot without your email address. Anyone with that link can open the snapshot for 30 days. Keep it private. Return links restore the saved snapshot rather than activity added later.

Free Trial Waiting List

If you join the free trial waiting list after a short lesson, we store your email, popcorn choice, trial availability email consent and campaign attribution to evaluate this experience and contact you when a trial is available. The signup does not create an account or start a trial. Your email is not included in analytics events or stored in browser storage. You can leave the list or request deletion by contacting support.

Retention And Deletion

Account and library data are kept while the account is active. Saved summaries remain available until the user deletes them or requests account deletion. Knowledge Map experiment submissions are kept only while needed to evaluate and operate the experiment. Free trial waiting list records are kept while needed to provide trial availability updates or until you ask to leave the list. Billing records are retained as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal compliance. Temporary processing data is minimized and removed when it is no longer needed to provide the service.

Users can request account deletion through the account deletion page or by emailing contact@readyourebook.com.

Security

The app uses HTTPS/TLS, secure session storage where supported, backend service-role separation, authentication controls, and database policies. No system is perfectly secure, but we use reasonable safeguards to protect information.

Children

Read Your Ebook is not intended for children under 13 or the minimum age required in the user's country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
